Nanny fatally stabs two children, wounds two others

NEW YORK, NY (CBS) Thursday afternoon four people were stabbed by the family nanny, including two children fatally, on the Upper West Side.

The incident occurred inside an apartment building called “La Rochelle” located near 75th and Columbus, CBS 2 reported.

A mother came home to find her two children, ages three and five dead. Two adults were also stabbed and rushed to St. Luke’s Hospital, but their conditions were not immediately known, police said.

Police said the family’s nanny was taken into custody. She suffered a self-inflicted stab wound, CBS 2 reported.
