(WTVR) - Just 48 hours after CBS 6 spoke with neighbors concerned with traffic safety in their neighborhood, new signs are in place.

Community members in a Hopewell neighborhood told us Monday that they were tired of speeders going too fast through their neighborhood.

They say they feared the lives of their children and pets.

Today, changes are already in effect on Jackson Farm Road.

Public works and Traffic engineering got together as promised and removed the brush and put up extra speed signs to improve the line of sight.
