An area of disturbed weather in the eastern Caribbean has now formed into Tropical Depression 18, and will strengthen into Tropical Storm Sandy. The future track will move the storm over Jamaica and Cuba over the next few days.
The storm will then move through or just east of the Bahamas. Most computer models take the storm away from the United States, but a few have been suggesting the storm will stay closer to the coastline.
We will continue to monitor this storm and have the latest advisory and forecasts in the CBS 6 Hurricane Tracker.
