RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) – The Virginia Employment Commission announced Friday that the seasonally adjusted unemployment rate held at 5.8 percent for September and the third straight month.
Virginia’s rate is below the national rate of 7.8 percent.
The VEC says that seasonal employment tends to increase in September as public and private schools and colleges reopen.
