HANOVER COUNTY, Va. (WTVR) - Hanover stalled on their first offensive drive of the game with an interception in the red zone. It was the only thing that went wrong in a 40-0 shutout of Armstrong.
RB/LB Sam Rogers had two interception returns for scores and ran for a third TD. L.J. Jones added 135 yards on the ground and two TDs. Third string QB Travis Barton completed just two passes, both to Donte Haynesworth and one went for a score.
The Hawks are now 6-1, and 3-1 in the Capital District. They are at Lee-Davis in a key D-5 matchup next week. Armstrong falls to 2-5.
