Researchers in Texas believe they’ve found a link between cancer and obesity.
Scientists studied bother overweight and average weight mice and found those who were obese were more likely to have tumors and were also more likely to have them grow at a faster rate.
Researchers believe it is because fatty tissue helps feed the tumors by forming new blood vessels that bring oxygen and nutrients to the tumor.
They also say the findings confirm the importance of exercise and a healthy diet.
