(CNN) – Colder winter weather is expected to cost you more in heating bills this year.
That’s according to a new government report from the Energy Information Administration.
The agency estimates costs for homes using heating oil will hit a record high with a 20 percent increase from last year.
Homes heated with natural gas are expected to see bills that are 15 percent higher, and electricity customers could see a 5 percent increase.
The report says the increase is mostly due to forecasts predicting a colder winter for east of the Rockies.
