National D-Day Memorial to get new president

BEDFORD, Va (WTVR) - The President of the National D-Day Memorial Foundation in Bedford, Va. has resigned.

Robin Reed has been with the foundation since June 2010. He told the board of directors that he is pursuing other opportunities.

For now, the foundations vice president will be in charge.

The National D-Day Memorial Foundation says it will formalize a permanent president by mid-October.
