A storm system will approach from the southwest Tuesday. A warm front will move through the area during the day, pushing out Monday’s cool air and allowing warmer and much more humid air back into our region. There will be some sunshine breaking through between some showers and storms.
With the warm front pushing north of the area, and a little sunshine at times, the atmosphere will grow more unstable in the afternoon and early evening. Thunderstorms will develop across the area, and there is the potential for a few storms to be strong with some hail and strong wind gusts.
Since the air will be so humid, any shower or thunderstorm will have the ability to drop heavy rainfall.
The threat of storms will diminish during the evening, and we will dry out a bit Tuesday night.
