UVA student says she was sexually assaulted walking on campus

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WTVR) – Police at the University of Virginia are investigating a sexual assault on campus. According to an alert posted on the university’s websitea student told police a man forced her against a wall as she walked between Monroe Hall and Brown College just after midnight this morning.

She said she was able to push the man away during the assault and she ran away from the attacker.

Police described the suspect as a white male, 18 to 25 years of age, approximately 6’2″ tall, slender build, brown hair and blue eyes.  Police said he was wearing a light-colored, short-sleeve shirt and blue jeans.
