UPDATE: Family homeless after semi hits mobile home park

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WTVR) – State Police charged a truck driver with reckless driving after his big rig ran off Interstate 95 and smashed into a mobile home Friday night.

Truck driver Clayton E. Ivey, 35, of Cleburne, Texas, was not injured in the accident. State Police spokesman Sgt. Thomas Molnar described Ivey as a “fatigued driver.”

Molnar said two people inside the Holiday Mobile Home Park home suffered minor injuries. The 60-year-old woman and a 12-year-old boy were taken to VCU Medical Center for treatment. The home is considered a “total loss,” Molnar said.

Police said just before 10 p.m. Friday, the truck carrying clothes and a fork lift veered off Interstate 95 just past the Willis Road exit. The truck drove through the woods and hit the mobile home which was located along the 9700 block of Jeff Davis Highway.
