Arrest made in Whole Food parking lot robbery

HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WTVR) – Henrico Police arrested a 16-year-old male in connection to a weekend robbery outside the Whole Foods in Short Pump.

In an email to CBS 6, police said a man and woman reported they were robbed around 3:40 p.m. Sunday by a man with a gun. The robber was able to drive off with “several items belonging to the victims,” according to Henrico Police spokeswoman Lieutenant Linda Toney.

A State Police Trooper spotted the suspect’s car on Interstate 95 and pulled over the vehicle on Belvidere Street in Richmond.

Henrico detectives charged a 16-year-old passenger in the vehicle with two  counts of robbery and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.

Police are investigating whether this suspect is connected to another robbery in Short Pump earlier this month.In that case, two women reported they were robbed at gunpoint in the Skate Nation Plus parking lot shortly before 6:00 p.m.
