CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WTVR) - An overturned tractor-trailer closed the exit ramp from Route 288 southbound to Route 10 westbound in Chesterfield County, according to an email from Virginia State Police Sergeant Thomas Molnar.

Molnar said the truck overturned Thursday afternoon when the driver attempted to exit onto the Route 10 exit ramp and ran off the left side of the road. Speed is considered a factor in the crash.

Authorities said 44-year-old Phuc T. Nguyen, of the 2000 block of Thousand Oaks Drive in Richmond, was charged with reckless driving.

Police said Nguyen suffered minor injuries.

The ramp was closed for hours and reopened just before 8 p.m. after crews finished removing 40,000 pounds of bulk paper products from the truck.
