Woman robbed at gunpoint in Downtown Short Pump

SHORT PUMP, Va. (WTVR) - Two women reported they were robbed at gunpoint in the Skate Nation Plus parking lot, in Downtown Short Pump. Police responded to the call shortly before 6:00 p.m. Wednesday.

The victims said that a man wearing black, who had on a bandana, pulled a gun on her. He made off with cellphones and jewelry. 

Police said the suspect took off on foot and headed towards Pouncey Tract Road . The phone was dumped in the Walmart parking lot.

Shoppers in the area were surprised, and uncomfortable.

“Everybody is just going crazy,” Michelle Brooks said, noting a feeling that crime is ramping up everywhere.

Henrico Police asked if you were in the area at the time and saw someone running across Pouncey Tract around 6 p.m., to contact Crime Stoppers at 780-1000. 

Henrico Police released the following description of the suspect:

  • black male
  • 17-22 years old
  • 5'3"-5'6"
  • 120-150 lbs.
  • brown eyes
  • clean shaven
  • dark complexion
  • wearing a black bandana on his head, black t-shirt, black or dark blue jeans
