HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WTVR)--A judge granted bond for the teenager accused of shooting a girl at a West End house party earlier this month in Henrico.

Marcus Moore, 19, was granted a $20,000 bond and ordered to be monitored electronically

Moore said he's innocent of the charges against him. "Totally innocent,” he said.

"I hope that the victim and her family get through this,” said Marcus Moore.

Moore, who turned himself in to police last week, is charged with Aggravated Malicious Wounding and Use of a Firearm In Commission of Felony.

“I'm sorry that it happened to her.  And hope that they do find whoever did it,” he said.

Moore was a rising football star at J.R. Tucker High School, before he transferred to Hermitage and recently graduated.

"People who know me and know what type of person I was,” said Moore.  “I know that they knew I didn't do it."

“It's my first time ever getting into trouble,” said Moore. “First time that anything like this ever happened."

Moore said he moved to Virginia with his mom and other siblings to get away from the violence in his hometown of South Jersey.

Now it seems as though he’s just ended up in the middle of it, and with police now tracking his every move.

Moore has to wear a GPS monitoring device on his ankle twenty-four hours a day.

He said this situation won't stop him from pursuing his dream of going to college.

"I'm just going to keep my eyes on what I’ve wanted to do since I was a little kid, which is to play basketball.  I'm not going to let this hold me back,” said Moore.

Moore said he’s enrolling in J. Sergeant Reynolds Community College on Monday, to major in math.  He wants to become an accountant.

He goes back to court in December.
