DINWIDDIE COUNTY, Va. (WTVR) - The Virginia State Police responded to a crash at 4:36 p.m. involving a vehicle and a train near the 3700 block of Femdale Circle.

Investigators say the driver of a 1979 Chevy Nova failed to stop at the railroad crossing and was hit by a Norfolk Southern Train.

No one on the train was hurt, but the driver of the car, 20-year-old Lauren Mata, suffered minor injuries.

Mata was charged with reckless driving.
