VIRGINIA–Flea market find uncovers lost Renoir painting.

A $7 find at a flea market buys a Virginia woman a painting that turns out to be a masterpiece worth up to $100,000 dollars.

The woman who didn’t want to be identified bid on a box of items at a West Virginia flea market that contained a plastic cow, a Paul Bunyon doll, and a painting in a frame with a Renoir plaque on it.

It turned out to be an original Renoir painted in 1879 and thought to have been lost for nearly 100 years. It was last seen in 1926.

She says she purchased the box of stuff because she liked the Renior frame.

The painting will be sold at auction on September 29.
