Traffic Forecast AM: September 11

RICHMOND, Va (WTVR) – Expect heavy traffic and detours around the Virginia War Memorial this morning due to ceremonies. Mayor Dwight C. Jones will lead a Day of Service and Remembrance in recognition of the 11th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks. 

This event will be held outside of City Hall on Marshall Street between 9th and 10th Streets.
Volunteer registration begins at 8:30 a.m. The formal event will begin at 8:45 a.m. To help get people into the event, Marshall Street between 9th and 10th Streets will be closed to traffic from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Tuesday, September 11, 2012. Avoid the area if possible.
