HENRICO COUNTY, Va (WTVR) – The Henrico County mother accused of putting her new born infant in a plastic bag inside a clothes dryer moments after its birth is set to appear in court today. Angela Janecka has a chance to be released from jail if a judge chooses to grant her bond.

Janecka has been charged with attempted murder and felony neglect of a child.

Henrico Police say Janecka’s husband discovered the healthy infant inside the dryer, he called an older child’s doctor for help. Janecka’s husband also said she had told him the fetus had died in utero, and was going to be stillborn.

Janecka has been in prison since she was arrested on Sept. 4. Her hearing is scheduled for 11 a.m. this morning in Henrico Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court.
