CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WTKR)–A 50-year-old man was killed in a hit-and-run accident on Interstate 564 early Saturday morning.
James W. Keith Jr., 50, was attempting to exit the ramp, when he fell off of the Harley-Davidson motorcycle at the southbound Terminal Boulevard exit ramp.
Another rider with Keith attempted to help him up from the pavement when a dark colored four-door vehicle ran over Keith.
Keith died at the scene and the driver of the unknown vehicle continued without stopping.
State police said the unknown vehicle is a dark colored four-door Chevrolet Cobalt, 2005 to 2010 model.
Anyone with information on the driver or vehicle that left the scene is asked to contact the Virginia State Police.
