Family Receives Medicaid after waiting 7 years

(WTVR) – Last November we brought you the story of Sharon Straus, a Hanover resident with a heart-warming smile and a desperate need for a Medicaid waiver from the state.

The family has waited seven years for that waiver, which is a bundle of services that helps those with intellectual disabilities, like Sharon, live in their communities.
