(WTVR) - Mark David Chapman, the man convicted of killing John Lennon, is up for parole.  He will face the New York State Parole Board on Tuesday.

Chapman, 57, was convicted of killing the former Beatle outside his Manhattan apartment 32 years ago.

He was denied parole six times.  The Los Angeles Times says he has been requesting parole every other year since 2000.

Chapman is serving a sentence of 20 years to life.  According to his attorney, Yoko Ono, Lennon's widow, has requested his parole to be denied.
