President Obama, who in 2008 became the first Democratic presidential candidate to win Virginia since the 1960s, has visited the Richmond-area several times in the last 12 months. He most recently made a campaign stop in the same Glen Allen community where Rep. Ryan will visit today.

On Thursday night, Rep. Ryan headlined a fundraiser in Richmond. Earlier in the day Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal campaigned for the Romney-Ryan ticket in Chester. Gov. Jindal spoke with CBS 6 reporter Angela Pellerano about the Republican ticket and why it deserves more support from women.
