COLONIAL HEIGHTS, Va. (WTVR) – The Colonial Heights Optimist Club is holding a bone marrow screening, hoping to find a match that can help 20-month-old Quinlan Thomas.

Earlier this year, doctors diagnosed Thomas with  a rare form of childhood leukemia. Click here to see Stephanie Rochon’s story Quinlan and his family.

Tina Burton explained to CBS 6 senior reporter Wayne Covil what today’s Cure Quinlan event is all about.

The bone marrow drive runs until 4:00 p.m. at the Colonial Heights Optimist Club at 916 Meridian Avenue.
