Overturned tractor trailer closed 64 east near Williamsburg

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. (WTKR) – One lane is open after tractor trailer overturned on Interstate 64 east near Lightfoot Road early Wednesday morning. The accident had both lanes of traffic closed for much of the morning.

The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) had detoured traffic off of I-64 east onto Croaker Road (exit 234). Drivers were able to get back on I-64 east at Lightfoot Road, exit 234.

Traffic was backed up six miles.
