FREDERICKSBURG, Va. (WTVR) – The Fredericksburg Police Department released a composite sketch late Tuesday of a possible suspect in a recent homicide at an area homeless camp.

Police said the man in the above sketch is wanted in connection to Armando Escobar’s murder.

Escobar’s body was found at a homeless camp inside a tent in a heavily wooded area at the end of Roffman Road behind the Central Park Townhomes on July 25. Police said there were obvious signs of trauma to the victim’s body.

The subject is described as a Hispanic male in his early fifties, around 5 feet 4 inches tall with dark, weathered skin. Police think the man usually wears a ball cap and speaks limited English.

If you have information that could help police, call Detective Patrick Lamb at 540-654-5740. Police said that Lamb, who is fluent in Spanish, is only concerned with details connected to the homicide.

Police said callers may be eligible for a cash reward if the info leads to an arrest and conviction.
