CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va (WTVR) - Sources close to the investigation of missing Altria employee Leyla Namiranian told CBS 6's Angela Pellerano items related to the case that were sent to the state crime lab have come back inconclusive. The sources said investigators are no closer to solving the case.

Last week investigators sent additional items to the lab with in the hopes of identifying  a suspect in the case, the source told Pellerano. Investigators are now considering collecting new DNA samples of two persons of interest in the case. They want to make sure the DNA samples they have on file are correct, the source said.

Police identified two persons of interest in the case. One, is a man who told police he was dating Namaranian at the time of her disappearance. CBS 6 has chosen not to reveal his name, but has learned he was convicted in 1990 of brutally stabbing a woman and assaulting her daughter.

Chesterfield investigators also interviewed an Altria executive who was one of the last people to see Namiranian before her disappearance.
