RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) - Richmond Police closed one lane of River Road Wednesday morning to re-construct a deadly hit and run accident.

Richmond police sources told CBS 6 reporter Jon Burkett  they are closer to making an arrest in the hit and run death of 24-year-old Lanie Kruszewski. Those police sources said they now have access to the SUV believed to be involved in the Sunday night accident.

Kruszewski was hit and killed while riding her bike home from work at Osaka restaurant on River Road.

Wednesday morning, the Richmond Police Department's Crash team reduced three blocks of River Road to one lane.  Investigators utilized its Total Station--a surveying tool allowing detectives to get a three dimensional re-creation of the area.  Police said the Total Station is more precise than your typical camera.  In addition to gathering images, investigators were also marking and measuring the scene.  Detectives said re-constructing the area where a fatal crash happened is protocol.

After nearly an hour, all lanes along River Road were reopened to traffic.
