AURORA, Colorado (KDVR) – The sister of the man accused of shooting 70 and killing 12 in an Aurora movie theater on July 20 is now in the news for a song she wrote years before the attack.

The name of the song: “Walking Down Death Row.”

The song appeared on the YouTube page of Chris Holmes, the younger sister of suspected gunman James E. Holmes, about two years ago. The YouTube page has since been taken down.

The lyrics of the chorus seem especially ominous a day after her brother was charged with 142 criminal counts, including 24 of first degree murder. They read as follows (you can listen to the song in the video above):

Walking down death row,
I see bright lights down below
Walking down death row
I’m praying to God, “Please save my soul.”

Many believe the Arapahoe County district attorney will seek the death penalty for James E. Holmes. That decision will be made within the coming months.
