The parents of an 11-year-old who, some say, performed the ‘worst rendition of the national anthem ever’ are coming to their daughter’s defense.

Harper Gruzins of Coppell, Texas, said she had trouble hearing herself as she belted the song at Saturday’s Dallas-Los Angeles soccer match, FoxNews.com reported.

The singer noted echoes from the public address system and the loud cheers in the audience.

Harper’s father, Karlis Gruzins, told FoxNews.com despite the criticism he will not stop his daughter from future performances and will continue to support her.
