Richmond area Farmer’s Market guide 2012

RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR)–Just five years ago, there were a handful of Farmer’s Markets in the Greater Richmond Metro area. Now there is one every day of the week, except Monday.

Byrd House Market
224 S. Cherry St. and runs through October. It’s open every Tuesday afternoon
3:30 to 7 p.m.
Popular Oregon Hill market, often with live enterainment.

WEDNESDAY

Lakeside Farmers Market
6110 Lakeside Ave.-­ one block south of Lewis Ginter Botanical Gardens
Open two days of the week, year-round.
Open Dawn to Dusk, through Thanksgiving.
Voted #1 Market in Virginia

West End Farmers Market
12450 Gayton Road
The West End Farmers Market is located at the intersection of Gayton Road and Ridgefield Parkway.
Open 3-6:30 p.m. May through September.

Huguenot-Robious Farmers’ Market
2051 Huguenot Rd, on the Southside in Bon Air
10 a.m.-2 p.m., at a parking lot in the Great Big Greenhouse
Mainly local produce, and some crafts. April to October.

The Tricycle Gardens Farm Stand
Located at 2107 Jefferson Ave (Church Hill)
Tuesdays and Thursdays 4:00-6:00pm
Now serving their own grown produce and Lamplighter coffee.
