AURORA, Colo. (KDVR) — The man police said shot 70 people, killed 12 and sent hundreds running for their lives from an Aurora, Colo. movie theater should fear for his own life if he’s ever released from solitary confinement, one inmate told KDVR.com

A man who was recently released from the Arapahoe County Jail, the same place where suspected shooter James E. Holmes is being held, told FOX31 that Holmes “would be killed” if he is ever housed with other inmates.

Holmes, who has reportedly been spitting on guards and other inmates, was taken into solitary confinement shortly after he was arrested on the morning of July 20.

Individuals accused or convicted of crimes against children are typically met with brutality behind bars, the inmate said. Many of the victims at the shooting during the “The Dark Knight Rises” movie premiere were children.
