CAROLINE COUNTY, Va. (WTVR) – Sunday morning Virginia State Police bomb squad were called to the 10000 block of Sunshine School Road concerning suspicious damage to two mailboxes.

The Caroline County Sheriff Office told CBS 6 that chemical devices were found in the two mailboxes and taken by the bomb technicians as evidence.

Officials said that investigation revealed the two bottles had ruptured, and caused minimal damage to the mailboxes.

The investigation remains ongoing at this time.
