Man wanted for Fourth of July murder

HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WTVR) – Henrico police are trying to find a man wanted in connection to a Fourth of July murder.

Detectives said Friday that they have arrest warrants for 19-year-old Jaron Alfonz Minnicks on conspiracy to commit murder and burglary.

The suspect is described as a black male with black hair and brown eyes. He is five-feet six-inches tall and weighs around 160 pounds.

Officials said just before 7 p.m. on the Fourth of July, police were called to the 100 block of N. Laburnum Avenue for reports of gunfire. Officers found 17-year-old Nathaniel Bryant, of New Jersey, shot dead behind an apartment building.

Detectives arrested 23-year-old David L. Lawson, of the 3100 block of Duncan Road in Henrico, on July 13. He was charged with conspiracy to commit murder.
