(CNN) - After getting nearly 100 reports of stuck gas pedals, the government is investigating Ford and Mazda vehicles. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration says there's been at least one death suspected from this defect and nearly two dozen accidents.

More than 700,000 vehicles may be impacted by the recall. The two models involved are the 2001 through 2004 Ford Escape and Mazda Tribute with V-6 engines.
