Police: Scarf-wearing woman robs Chesterfield bank

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WTVR) – Police are looking for a woman who robbed a West Hundred Road bank in Chesterfield County.

The woman entered the Wells Fargo around 4:30 Thursday afternoon and handed the teller a note demanding money, according to an email from Chesterfield Police Public Information Coordinator Elizabeth Caroon.

The woman left the bank after getting cash and no one was hurt, Caroon wrote.

Police described the woman as:

  • Black female
  • 35 to 45 years old
  • 5 feet 2 inches tall with a thin build
  • Wearing what appeared to be a short, reddish brown or auburn wig, eye glasses, jeans, a light-colored T-shirt with a flag on it and a red scarf.

Police released images of the suspect captured by bank security cameras.

Police asked anyone with information to call Chesterfield County Police Department at 804-748-1251 or Crime Solvers at 804-748-0660 or text the code “WATSON” and send to 274637 (CRIMES).
