Henrico Police investigate shooting at Food Lion

HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WTVR) – Police are investigating a shooting on the grounds of the Food Lion, in the 6000 block of Nine Mile Road, in the eastern part of the county.

Lieutenant Mark Banks said Richmond authorities called the incident in to Henrico officers shortly before midnight Tuesday.

According to Banks, the victim, who had been shot in the chest, had been driven to a hospital in the city with a possible, life-threatening gun shot wound to the chest.

Police said they did not have any word on a possible suspect or motive.
