Virginia Tech police investigate attempted campus abduction

BLACKSBURG, Va. (WTVR) – Two men tried to abduct a woman at Virginia Tech, according to an alert from Virginia Tech Police.

Investigators said the woman was walking from across Henderson Lawn, toward Alumni Mall, around 2:15 a.m when two men grabbed her and attempted to drag her toward a pickup truck.

The woman told police she was able to escape and ran toward College Avenue.

The woman, and witnesses, described the suspects as Hispanic men, medium height and medium build, 25-35 years old, with brown hair. One was wearing blue jeans and a white T-shirt. The men were driving a dark pickup truck. The men drove off headed south onto Main Street, police said.

Witnesses told police the last four digits of the truck’s license plate were “3330.”
