RICHMOND, Va (WTVR) –  A Delta jet is forced to make a quick return to Richmond International Airport after the windshield cracked during takeoff.

According to airport spokesman Tory Bell, the windshield cracked as flight 6087, bound for New York’s La Guardia Airport, was going through its take-off roll around 7 a.m. The take-off was aborted and the plane returned to the terminal.

The pilot did not declare an emergency, and there was no loss of cabin pressure.

Passengers were rerouted on to other flights.
