The next time you go to the convenience store, you may want to grab a cup of coffee. It could improve your heart health.

A new study by the American Heart Association suggests drinking two 8 ounce cups of coffee a day gives people an 11% lower risk of developing heart failure. That's compared to people who don't drink coffee at all.

Researchers say they think coffee lowers the risk for diabetes, which in turn lowers the risk for heart disease.

But the study's authors advise that moderation is key. The say excessive coffee drinking, defined as 5 to 6 cups a day, may actually increase your chance for heart problems.
