RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR)- Richmond Police are asking the public’s help in locating a driver they say led them on a pursuit through the city’s south side in dangerous conditions early Saturday morning.

Police tell us that officers attempted to stop a motorcycle that was being driven erratically in the 5900 block of Carnation St. shortly after 2:00 a.m. When the driver failed to stop, police say they gave chase briefly, before deciding rainy conditions were too much of a risk to continue.

The motorcycle was located on nearby Forest Hill Ave. shortly thereafter, but the driver got away. Chesterfield Police brought a K-9 Unit to the scene, but police say the suspect got away.

Investigators believe the driver was a male, and they hope to be able to locate that suspect soon.
