Although parents commonly experience what is known as empty nest syndrome, new data indicates it’s becoming a thing of the past.

Because kids aren’t moving out these days, according to United States Census data.

The Census Bureau reports that the number of adult children putting their own homes on the market and moving back in with their parents has increased dramatically during tough economic times.

The most represented demographic is aged 25 to 34.

The report found that 30 percent of adults in the U. S. lived in a household with their parents or adult children.
