RICHMOND, Va (WTVR)

In less than five days Richmond will host a sea of Athletes for the 32nd National Veterans Wheelchair Games sponsored by McGuire VA Medical Center and the Virginia Mid-Atlantic Chapter of the Paralyzed Veterans of America.

The games, one of the largest wheelchair sporting events in the world, showcases 17 athletic events and features over six hundred athletes from fifty states including Puerto Rico, Guam and Great Britain. The games will also offer close to 3 million dollars in revenue to the Richmond Community.

The National Veterans Wheelchair Games are June 25-30 at The Greater Richmond Convention Center and other venues in and around the Richmond area. For a schedule and other information visit www.wheelchairgames.va.gov.
