Chesterfield man drowns in Swift Creek
CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WTVR) – A Chesterfield man drowned in Swift Creek Monday night. Chesterfield Police identified the drowning victim as Edward L. Mason, 50, of the 3500 block of Main Street in Chesterfield County.
Chesterfield police and fire were called to the 100 block of Lakeside Drive in Colonial Heights around 7:20 p.m. Monday after witnesses saw a swimmer go under water and not resurface.
Rescue divers found Mason, who was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
