CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WTVR) – Chesterfield police have arrested a man in connection with an arson at a vacant house last month.

Police said 31-year-old John Bradley Smith, of the 600 block of Bristol Village Drive in Midlothian, was arrested and charged with arson Monday.

Smith is being held at the Riverside Regional Jail pending a hearing Tuesday in Chesterfield County General District Court.

Fire crews were called to the fire at a vacant house in the 10100 block of Robious Road on Saturday, May 26 around 11:53 p.m. It took crews about an hour to get the fire under control.
