RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) – Viewers of the 2012 Transit of Venus lined up outside Richmond’s Science Museum of Virginia to see the event through telescopes and other safe-viewing devices.

From our perspective here on Earth, we saw the planet Venus cross in between us and the Sun.This event will not occur again until 2117.
