RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) - Depending on where you drive this summer, you may have to stop and pay a toll. Virginia lawmakers are working on a plan to add new tolls to Interstate 95. One would be located between Richmond and the North Carolina line. The other between Richmond and Washington, D.C.

State lawmakers said the toll money would go towards road improvements. They estimated the two tolls would generate between $30 and $60 million dollars.

While the Federal Highway Administration gave an early okay on this toll project in September,  Virginia lawmakers said it could be more than two years before tolls are up and running.
