RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) - Richmond police are investigating after a man drowned in a pool on the city's Southside Sunday night.

It happened just before 6:30 pm in the Aden Park Apartments off Midlothian Turnpike.

Investigators said when they arrived on scene, people were trying to revive the man but that he did not survive.

The pool is private, with signs reading: No lifeguard on duty. Swim at your own risk.

Police said they are not sure how the man drowned but they do no suspect foul play.
