Colorado farm files for bankruptcy
(WTVR) – The Colorado farm that grew bad melons has filed for bankruptcy protection.
Cantaloupe from Jensen Farms was said to be the source of a listeria outbreak that killed 32 people.
Nearly 150 people in 28 states were infected.
An attorney for the farm says the Chapter 11 filing should free up millions of insurance dollars that could go to victims.
