FREDERICKSBURG, Va. (WTVR) – Police charged a man with possession of child
pornography after they said he handed his laptop over for repairs.

Zachary Harding, 21, is being held at Rappahannock Regional Jail.

Fredericksburg Police arrested Harding Thursday as he left his Normandy Ave. home.

According to a police press release, Harding gave his laptop to “an acquaintance” and asked that person to repair the computer.

While doing so, police said the acquaintance found pornographic pictures of children and called police. Investigators searched the computer and after a preliminary forensic examination issued a warrant against Harding.

The investigation is ongoing, police noted.
